Cleaning Process

Dustless Blasting

Dustless blasting, also known as physical cleaning, is the first cleaning step for powder coating enclosures before spraying. The principle is also very simple. It is to introduce water into the sandblasting material, allowing the water to wrap and carry away the debris and dust which would affect the final spraying effect adhering to the sheet metal , ultimately making the shell look flatter and smoother. This operation is highly dependent on the experience of veteran workers. To achieve a perfect standard, our operators will also be very meticulous and careful in the dust-free sandblasting process.

Chemical Cleaning

Before spraying, the sheet metal enclosures need to go through multiple chemical tank cleaning processes. Ten chemical tanks have been prepared. The cleaning of Jushun is of an advanced level. This depends on the quality of the powder. Standard-grade outdoor powder (such as polyester type) has a lifespan of approximately 5 to 10 years. The material of Super Durable can last for 10 to 15 years; while the high-performance fluorocarbon powder (FEVE/PVDF) can last for more than 20 years.

Because powder coating is a process that applies powder to metals using high temperatures, its coating becomes thicker and more durable. But for this very reason, powder coating is not as smooth as liquid coating.

Powder coatings contain no volatile organic compounds and are recyclable, making them more environmentally friendly.

Powder coatings are economical, however the initial investment of purchasing an oven is substantial. Liquid coating tools are easy to use and inexpensive upfront.

For most industrial and decorative applications, the standard thickness for powder coating is typically between 60 and 80 micrometers.

However, for outdoor environments requiring better protection, we recommend a coating thickness of 80-120 micrometers, and for heavy industrial or more severe environments, even greater thicknesses may be necessary.

RAL colors are usually the standard color choices. For sheet metal exteriors, you can choose textured finish, matte, or glossy powder coat.

Generally, metals requiring surface reinforcement for corrosion resistance and scratch resistance need powder coating. Examples include: aluminum enclosure, steel enclosure, and galvanized steel enclosure.
